Kakopetria, approximately 700 metres above the sea, is a popular summer resort and a rich fruit growing village. Nicosia and Limassol are 50km away. An ideal centre for walking.
Getting to The Mill:
From Nicosia - take the road (B9) from Nicosia towards the Troodos area and Astromeritis. Local transport and Taxis are available.
From Limassol - follow the road (B8) to the Troodos mountains. At Saitas turn right, this is sign posted to Kakopetria (B801). This road passes through Kato Amiandos and leads to a cross junction. Left will lead to Troodos, right to Kyperounda and straight down the hill is Kakopetria (B9), 8km further down the mountain. The right turning into the village at the bridge, is the best way to enter the village, there is an alternative left turning 1km prior to this.
From Larnaca - take the highway (A3) to Nicosia, then follow the directions as from Nicosia.
From Paphos (scenic) - Take the highway to Kouklia, then follow the road through to Agios Nicolaos, Pedi Pedi and on to Saitas. At the sign post to Kakopetria turn right. This road passes through Kato Amiandos and leads to a cross junction. Left will lead to Troodos, right to Kyperounda and straight down the hill is Kakopetria, 8km further down the mountain. The right turning into the village at the bridge, is the best way to enter the village, there is an alternative left turning 1km prior to this.
